I served by working in different public sector hospitals in KZN. I started my first job at King Edward hospital as a junior physiotherapist, then transferred to Inkosi Albert Luthuli hospital in 2003. I then got a senior physiotherapist post at Stanger Hospital in 2005. I spent 10 years at Port Shepstone hospital, the last hospital I worked in as an Assistant Director, before joining academia in 2017. I completed my master’s degree in 2013, which resulted in my first article published in the South African physiotherapy association journal. I initiated HPCSA accredited journal club for the rehabilitation team at PSH, aiming to encourage evidence-based practice and continuous professional development, accommodating all therapists on the south coast. I moved to UKZN in 2017 to work as a lecturer, supervising master’s students and undergraduate research at the hounus level.I am currently a registered PhD student at UKZN aiming to develop a Community-Based Primary Healthcare Clinical Training model for undergraduate physiotherapy students at UKZN.
